ABOUT THE BRAND

Radley was originally founded in London by Lowell Harder, a young entrepreneur who started her handbag journey as part of a wave of new creatives setting up businesses in Camden Market in the midst of the 1980s.

Driven by a passion for colour, luxurious leathers and carefully considered design, Harder went on to launch Radley in 1998.The confidence of this playful new brand saw women the world over take Radley to its hearts.

The Radley dog was born after a search was started for an icon to represent the playful personality of the brand. The very British looking Scottie, with his distinctive outline and bright red collar was a small idea sketched by Radley designers and proved to be a huge success – dog lovers all over the world fell for him.

OUR CUSTOMER

Radley has two types of customer, both of which are extremely brand loyal.

One is a ‘prolific premium investor’; someone who appreciates quality brands and will repeat purchase with new seasons products, loving the Radley signature that has made the brand famous. She is fashion and brand aware, confident and fun. She uses social media, having Facebook as one of her main channels.

The second is a ‘savvy style leader’; someone who appreciates our unique design, style and value for money. She believes that fashion is about attitude and being individual whilst still maintaining her own values within the brands she shops. She is internet savvy and utilises most social media, shopping at faster moving stores than the premium investor and always looking for the next trend within her brands.
